Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Subsurface Scanning and Mapping
Has Never Been Faster or More Accurate.

Without high-quality maps–contractors, excavators, drillers, property owners, and facility managers face significant liabilities.

Construction crews and equipment have to stop work when they find unmapped utilities. The whole project may have to be put on hold while waiting for the pipe, cable, or electrical line to be relocated. Under certain circumstances, fines may be imposed on projects that interrupt traffic or business for an excessive amount of time.

When planning construction, renovation and landscaping projects, underground utilities should be located and mapped by skilled professionals using reliable technology like ground penetrating radar.

BENEFITS OF GPR

Kinetic Locating uses ground penetrating radar (GPR), a non-destructive testing method that pinpoints the location of underground utilities, underground storage tanks, voids, tunnels, and other obstructions without disturbing the surface.

Our GPR technology means that subsurface scanning, interpreting, and mapping has never been faster or more accurate. You can be confident knowing what’s under the surface during every phase of your construction project.

About Our GPR Technology

Kinetic Locating uses both utility and concrete GPR units. Our utility GPR unit is a Tri-band Antenna that uses three frequencies 200MHz. / 500MHz. / 1000MHz. The three frequencies are used in conjunction to locate utilities, USTs, and other buried items at different depths. The GPR investigation is based entirely on the composition of the soils and the depth and scale of subsurface targets. Concrete scanning GPR can detect embedded utility conduits and structural elements like rebar in concrete floors and wall slabs up to 2 feet thick.
